Frequently asked questions
Is my policy text stored?
No. The text is sent to our server and a language model through Vercel AI Gateway to produce the review, then discarded. Don't paste anything confidential; a public privacy policy is fine.
How accurate is the AI review?
It is a fast first pass against a fixed checklist taken from GDPR Article 13, the CCPA regulations, CalOPPA § 22575 and PIPEDA's principles. It can miss things or misread wording, so use it to find gaps, then verify with the checklist and, for anything important, a lawyer.
What does the instant keyword scan do?
Before any AI runs, the page scans your text in the browser for signs of each required section (for example "retain", "Do Not Track", "supervisory authority"). It is crude but instant and private.
